He has always written, even before he could write.

John Clarke established himself in 2002 when he graduated from the prestigious Royal Court's Young Writers Programme.  He has First Class Honours Degree in English from King's College London and an MA in Language Acquisition from the University of Essex.

 

John's work including poems have been published in magazines FIRE, Still, The Affectionate Punch, along with work in poetry and writing anthologies.

John is passionate about diversifying theatre audiences and bringing stories to the stage that are unknown or forgotten. He believes theatre can change our future and is a supporter of emerging playwrights through the 8th Wonder Creative Exchange.
